Reporting suspected rabies and cases of encephalitis
All cases of suspected and confirmed human rabies should be reported. Patients with encephalitis of unknown cause should also be reported. This is because patients with rabies can be misdiagnosed as having encephalitis of unknown cause. Dogs and domestic animals who die in the community from what could be rabies should also be reported
Remember: We should report all dog-bite incidents and cases of encephalitis to the relevant health authorities.
