Interact with dogs safely and kindly 🐶

How do you take good care of your dogs? Our pets need our care, attention, and love. They are great friends and can give us lots of love and support. Dogs can also help us with cattle herding, guarding houses, and other stuff.

To be a good dog owner, we should:

• Give them food and water to keep them healthy.
• Keep them safe from the sun, rain, and cold, and give them a comfortable place to rest.
• Make sure they don't roam around without a collar showing that it belongs to somebody.
• Make sure they get their rabies vaccine as early as possible and as advised by the veterinary doctor. This will keep them healthy and safe from rabies.
• Take them to the veterinary doctor if they are sick or hurt and for other vaccination or deworming, which they need to have regularly.
• Treat them kindly and let them sleep, walk, run, and play without bothering them.
• Never hurt or threaten them, and don't leave them alone for long periods.

We also need to be careful when we are around dogs. Here are some tips to stay safe:

• Don't touch a sleeping dog.
• Don't go near a dog that is eating.
• Don't try to take food from a dog.
• Don't throw things at dogs.
• Don't go near a dog guarding a house or animals.
• Don't go near a dog with puppies.
• Don't run past dogs. They might think you're playing and chase you.
