Finalisation
Congratulations!
You've reached the final step of building a localised Immunization Demand Strategy to increase immunization demand in your priority communities. After Workshop 2, things might feel a bit chaotic with many contributors and ideas for the strategy. It’s now your responsibility, as the core team leading the DSB process, to summarise and develop the final strategy so that it resonates with the key decision-makers involved in the DSB process.
Purpose
To finish your Immunization Demand Strategy, review all the ideas shared and decisions made during the DSB process. Then, fill in the DSB strategy template. Once this is done, you'll need to share and advocate for the strategy with key decision-makers to ensure buy-in and start planning for implementation.
What You’ll Achieve
By the end of Finalisation, you will:
- Have a complete draft of your Immunization Demand Strategy ready for buy-in from key decision-makers.
How it Works
The way you finalise your strategy will depend on your context and people you need to involve. As the core team, you need to decide who is required to complete any gaps in the strategy, what format the strategy should be in, and how to ensure the strategy is put into action. To help you, the DSB outlines two finalisation modules:
- Module A: Finalising the strategy
- Module B: Validation and Endorsement
Timing
The timing of finalisation is flexible. It may occur:
- Immediately after Workshop 2, while momentum is high and key decision-makers are still in the room.
- One to two weeks later, allowing time for synthesis of workshop outputs and quick additions by the core team.
- Up to one month later, if additional data or resources need to be gathered to finalise the strategy before validation.
